Terms of Service

Cojoin ("the app") is built by Andrew Nguyen ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the app. By creating an account or using Cojoin you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use Cojoin

Your content

You own what you put into Cojoin: vibes, plans, messages, photos, friend notes and hangout history. So that the app can work, you give us permission to store that content and to show it to the people you choose to share it with (the audience you pick on a vibe, the people in a chat, the friends you connect with). We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it beyond operating and protecting the service. Authorized safety reviewers and service providers may process content as explained in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you post and the messages you send.

Community rules

Cojoin is for seeing your friends in person. There is no tolerance for:

Profiles, vibes and messages may be screened by an automated safety service and reviewed by a moderator before or after they are shown (see the Privacy Policy for the services involved). We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice. Reports are reviewed through a restricted safety queue. Confirmed violations may result in content removal or account suspension. Contact support to appeal a decision.

Reporting and blocking

You can report any vibe, message or person, and block anyone, from inside the app: hold a message, or open the menu on a chat or vibe page. Blocking stops that person from messaging you and hides their content from you. You can undo a block under Settings → Blocked.

Meeting in person

Cojoin helps you make plans. You decide whom to meet and where. Use your own judgement about your safety, and treat the people you meet with respect.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the app or its servers, access other people's data, or use automated tools to create accounts or send messages.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your account and everything tied to it and cannot be undone. Signing out keeps your data for when you sign back in.

The app store you got Cojoin from

These terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the app, for supporting it, or for handling any claim about it. Their own store terms also apply to your download.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Cojoin is provided "as is", free of charge, and we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, from content other people post, or from anything that happens when you meet people in person. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and the current version will always be at this address. If we make a significant change we will tell you in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. You can stop using Cojoin at any time by deleting your account.
